Tips for Using Printable Work to Your Advantage

Have you ever heard of or used printables? If you are a regular customer or seller on Etsy, then you will know exactly what printables are. Printables are digital files that customers can purchase and download, such as artwork, worksheets, calendars and organization documents. Common printables included art prints and calendars. People create printable documents for others to buy and use. I’ve recently begun creating printables to sell in my Etsy shop, which I’ll share along with some ways you can use printables to your advantage.

The first printables I have created are art prints (pictured below). I’ve taken some photos and overlaid quotes and motivational phrases on them. Then I resized these photos into four standard portrait dimensions. When you buy my printables, you will get digital download links that contain each size of the photo as well as a pdf document for poster size. I am currently working on creating landscape dimensions with some photos, as well as printables for event planning and organization. Keep an eye out for those items.

Tip #1: Inexpensive Artwork

The first way you can use printables to your advantage is to fill your home with inexpensive, and sometimes unique artwork. If you are not a photographer or you are on a budget, but you want to put up artwork in your home, then you can use printables. These digital downloads are often sold at relatively low prices because they are shared files. You can decorate your home or wall space for cheap!

Tip #2: Easy DIY

The next way you can use printables to your advantage is to lean into an easy DIY project. When you buy a printable all you have to do is print it out! Easy as 1, 2, 3. If you buy printable art work, you can print it and frame it yourself or take it to a professional printer for large size images. Once you frame the image, you can hang it up anywhere or display it on a table and voila! Now you’ve done it yourself instead of buying framed artwork from the store or a gallery, which is also fine to do.

Tip #3: Low Stress Organization and Event Planning

Finally, you can use printables to your advantage by staying organized and decreasing your stress when planning events. If you are someone who needs help staying organized or someone who likes to organize and plan events, but gets stressed out by doing so, then printables are for you. You can find many printables for calendars, task lists, and event planning on Etsy. It can be challenging and stressful to think about all of the things you have to do in the day or week or to prepare for an event. It helps to write it all down, but sometimes you don’t even know where to start. Printables can help alleviate some of that stress and keep you organized by doing the work for you. When you use organization and event planning printables all you have to do is fill in the details. You can print out these documents or keep them on your phone and just fill in what is specific to your situation. I suggest you give it a try!

Below are some of the framed artworks that I have created, but there is much more to come. I will be working on creating organization and event planning printables to share with you. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you know I enjoy event planning. You can check out a few of the event planning posts I wrote here, How-To Plan an Intimate Event

Currently, the items pictured below are available in my Etsy shop, in sizes 5×7 (pictured), 8×10, 12×18, and 18×24 inches. I quickly displayed them with the same frame for pictures, but just imagine what you could do when you buy some printables. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and you can now see the benefits of purchasing printables. Don’t forget to check out some of my newly created printables here, DW Hand-Crafted Treasures.
